SprintPoker settings and display preferences
The Connections, Workspace and Personal tabs of SprintPoker settings, and the display preferences that only you see.
Last updated
SprintPoker settings are at /{handle}/poker/settings; SprintPoker settings in the overview’s Preferences and Help & Support also lead there. The page has three tabs, Connections, Workspace and Personal, with a Contact Support card below them.
| Tab | What it holds | Who can change it |
|---|---|---|
| Connections | The Jira sites linked for playing with SprintPoker for Jira, what each site’s Jira admin has set, and the workspace’s rules for sharing | Linking a site: anyone who can add connections (Members by default). Disconnecting a site and changing the rules: workspace admins |
| Workspace | Estimation Presets, Definition of Ready, AI and Issue details layouts | Presets and AI: workspace admins. Definition of Ready and layouts: see below |
| Personal | Your identity, Your account and Preferences | You |
Connections
- Link a Jira site takes the link code someone creates in SprintPoker for Jira (anyone who uses SprintPoker on the Jira site, unless a Jira admin limited it): see Play one session with SprintPoker for Jira.
- Each linked site shows its status and Set by a Jira admin: the site’s own rules. When SprintPoker for Jira hasn’t been heard from on a site for a week, the site says Not heard from SprintPoker for Jira since and the date it was last heard from.
- The workspace’s rules set who can make its sessions available in Jira (Anyone who can host or Workspace admins only), which sites its sessions can use, and the defaults for new sessions, such as guest access. Where a new session of Jira issues is played is not a default: it is in both apps wherever SprintPoker for Jira is connected for its site. Narrowing a rule never withdraws a session that is already shared: Withdraw them does that, and nothing is deleted.
- Disconnect unlinks a site. Sessions created on Laya.net stay on Laya.net with all their results and stop appearing in SprintPoker for Jira. Nothing is deleted, in Laya.net or in Jira.
Workspace
- Estimation Presets are the decks offered in this workspace’s sessions on Laya.net, in three kinds: Numeric, Time and Text. The first preset of a kind is its default. A session available in both apps uses its Jira site’s presets instead, and sessions keep the cards they already use when a preset changes.
- Definition of Ready picks a board or project and edits its criteria, as in Ready or Not.
- Enable AI hints for this workspace turns Show Hint and the AI suggestions on or off in every session of the workspace. It is on by default, and while it is on, a session’s host can still turn AI off for that session.
- Issue details layouts choose which fields the room’s details panel shows for each work type of a Laya board. Changing them needs permission to change the board; a Jira project’s layouts are changed in the room.
Personal
- Your identity shows the Atlassian account SprintPoker uses to reach Jira as you, and the Jira sites it can reach, with Link your Atlassian account (Connect your Jira access when your account is linked but SprintPoker has no Jira access of yours) and Refresh my Jira sites. Each site says whether your Jira access works there now: Works, Not working: connect your Jira access and choose this site, or Couldn’t check just now.
- Your account follows your Laya.net account on every device: Open shared sessions in (Ask me, SprintPoker on Laya.net or SprintPoker for Jira), Default Jira site when you can use more than one, Show Jira names next to Laya.net names, and Use these display preferences on every device.
Display preferences
Display preferences change only how SprintPoker looks for you. Change them in Preferences on the SprintPoker overview, in the room, or on the Personal tab.
| Preference | Choices |
|---|---|
| Visual Style | Default, Seafoam, Mystic Orchid or Eclipse |
| Interface Scale | Micro (75%), Compact (85%), Cozy (92%), Balanced (100%, the default) or Relaxed (110%) |
| Motion | System (follows your device’s reduce-motion setting), Reduced (crossfades instead of movement) or Full |
| Single-key shortcuts | Type a card’s value anywhere in the room to vote it. Turn it off to vote by typing only while your hand has the focus |
They are saved in this browser. Turn on Use these display preferences on every device to keep them with your account as well. The room’s compact view of the cards is saved in this browser only.
Contact support
Email Laya.net support on the Contact Support card opens your mail app with a message to support@laya.net, ready for you to fill in; nothing is sent from the page itself. More ways to get help opens Contact support.
Email support@laya.net and include what you expected, what happened, and a link to the affected board or item so we can help quickly.
