What syncs per provider
The definitive field-by-field matrix of what syncs for Jira, Azure DevOps, monday.com, GitHub and GitLab, in each direction.

Sync coverage differs by tool and by direction. This page is the definitive matrix of what flows where, based on how each connector actually behaves today.
How to read this page
- Connected boards (live mirrors) let you view and edit a wide, provider-specific set of fields directly, and those edits write straight through to your tool.
- The matrix below describes continuous field sync for linked items: real Laya work items imported from a connected source, including everything on a master board.
- Directions: ↔ syncs both ways, → Laya to your tool only, ← your tool to Laya only, — not synced.
The field matrix
| Field | Jira | Azure DevOps | monday.com | GitHub | GitLab |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Title | ↔ | ↔ | ↔ | ↔ | ↔ |
| Description | ↔ | ↔ | — | ↔ | ↔ |
| Status | ↔ | ↔ | ↔ | ↔ | ↔ |
| Priority | ↔ | ↔ | — | — | ← |
| Assignee | ↔ | — | — | — | — |
| Due date | ↔ | → | → | — | → |
| Labels / tags | ↔ | — | — | — | — |

| Work item type | ↔ | — | — | — | — |
| Comments | — | — | — | — | — |

| Relationships | — | — | — | — | — |
Comments, attachments and relationships are never part of continuous field sync for any provider — see the sections below for what is available instead.
Comments
Comments are never copied between systems by field sync, but you can work with them live: every provider's connected-board side panel reads comments straight from the source and lets you post new ones.
- Jira supports adding, editing and deleting comments from Laya, with Jira's own permission rules enforced.
- Azure DevOps supports viewing and adding comments; editing or deleting an Azure DevOps comment from Laya is not available.
- monday.com updates, GitHub issue comments and GitLab notes can all be read and posted from the side panel.
- One-time imports do copy comments: the Jira import wizard brings comments across as notes on the new Laya item, and master-board imports from monday.com, GitHub and GitLab do the same.
Attachments
- Attachments do not sync for any provider, and Laya cannot upload attachments to your tool.
- Jira attachments are viewable read-only from the connected board, and the Jira import wizard copies attachments into Laya's own storage as a one-time step.
- Azure DevOps, monday.com, GitHub and GitLab attachments are not mirrored or imported.
Relationships, sub-items and links
- Relationships do not sync continuously in this version.
- The Jira import wizard carries parent/sub-task links and epics across, creating a stub epic when the epic itself was outside your selection.
- GitLab imports carry epics read-only into Laya epics, plus parent/child task links when both items were imported. On connected GitLab boards you can also manage issue-to-issue links live: Related, Blocks and Blocked by.
- GitHub pull requests and GitLab merge requests are not mirrored — connected boards cover issues and project boards.
- monday.com subitems are not imported, and the subitems column is hidden on the side panel.
