Quick answers about plans, sessions, roles, estimates, AI and laya.net.
Last updated
Is there a free version?
Yes. The free listing, SprintPoker: Free Planning Poker & Async Estimation, has limits on sessions, people, issues and scans. See the Free and the Paid app.
How many sessions can I create on the free app?
Each person can create 20 sessions a month on a site. The count starts again on the first day of each month (UTC).
How many people can join a session?
Up to 8 on the free app, with one moderator. The paid app has no limit on either.
How many issues can a session hold?
Up to 30 on the free app and up to 1,000 on the paid app.
Which Jira field does the estimate go to?
The Estimation Field chosen when the session was created, such as Story Points or Original Estimate.
Can we use our own card values?
Yes, on the paid app. On the free app, pick one of the standard scales or a preset your site saved.
Can I change my vote?
Before the reveal, yes. After it, only in Async Poker with Allow Updating Personal Estimates on.
Who can see a session?
Only the people added to a private session can join it. Others on your Jira site can find and join a session that is not private.
Do we need a laya.net account?
No. Connecting to laya.net is optional. See Play with laya.net.
Which AI does SprintPoker use, and what does it see?
See the trust page: it names the AI provider, what is sent and what is kept.
Can a Jira admin turn AI off?
A Jira admin can turn AI off for the whole site: on the app’s admin page (in Jira settings, under Apps), switch off Enable AI under AI Settings. While it is off, our servers refuse every new AI request from that site, and laya.net’s AI is off in sessions shared with laya.net. See Admin settings.
Does a Ready or Not check on a single issue count against my scans?
No. Checking one issue from its SprintPoker panel does not count, and nor does the scan that runs again after AI Ready-Up. Only the scans you run count towards the 5 a month on the free app.
Does SprintPoker work on Jira Data Center?
No. It is a Jira Cloud app.
