Get started with SprintRetro

Install the app

1. Ask a Jira administratorOnly a Jira site administrator can install Marketplace apps.
2. Find the listingOpen SprintRetro Pro on the Atlassian Marketplace, or search the Marketplace from Jira for the free app, SprintRetro: Free Retrospective & Metrics Suite.
3. Install itInstall it from the listing and accept the permissions Jira shows you.

Where SprintRetro appears in Jira

• Apps menu: the SprintRetro page with your dashboard of retros.
• Project sidebar: a SprintRetro page inside each project.
• Board menu: a SprintRetro action on your Jira board, which opens the app for that board.

Run your first retro

1. Open SprintRetroUse any of the entry points above.
2. Click Create Retrospective SessionName the retro, choose Classic columns or Visual whiteboard, and pick a template.
3. Link a sprint (optional)Choose your Jira board and sprint to bring the sprint’s metrics into the retro.
4. Invite your teamShare the retro’s link. Everyone adds cards at the same time and sees changes live.
5. Close the retro when you finishClosing locks the board and lets open actions carry forward to the next retro.

Permissions the app needs

SprintRetro reads boards, sprints and people through Jira’s app access, not through your own account. If a board or sprint does not appear, a Jira administrator should check that the app can see it: see Troubleshooting.
