Troubleshooting SprintRetro

Fix the common problems: boards, sprints or users that do not load, a locked feature, or a Pro licence message.

A board, sprint or user list does not load

SprintRetro reads Jira with the app’s own access, through the atlassian-addons-project-access project role, not through your account. If the app cannot see a board’s filter or project, the board is missing from the dropdown, sprints do not load during set-up, or you cannot assign people to actions.

  1. Share the board’s filter with the appIn the board’s settings, edit the filter’s permissions. Under Viewers, share it with all roles, or at least with the atlassian-addons-project-access role.
  2. Check the project permissionsIn the project’s permission scheme, give the atlassian-addons-project-access role Browse Projects, Manage Sprints and Assignable User.
  3. Test with the Permission HelperIn Project settings > Permissions, open Permission Helper, enter atlassian-addons-project-access as the user and test each permission above.

A feature shows a lock or an upgrade message

Some features are only in SprintRetro Pro: custom templates, changing columns, custom polls, unlimited card grouping, importing sprint goals and the AI sprint summary. See the differences.

Trial ended or Subscription inactive

SprintRetro Pro shows this when its Marketplace licence is not active. A Jira administrator can renew it from Open Atlassian Admin. See Roles, settings and licences.

Actions did not carry forward

Only open actions carry forward. Close the previous retro, then use Carry forward and pick the retro to carry them into.
