Settings for a project

SprintPoker for Azure DevOps keeps its settings on two pages. Work Item Type Settings are kept for each project and team: a team that has not saved its own sees the project’s settings, or else another team’s, until it saves. The two General settings switches apply to the whole project.

Work Item Type Settings

Open it with the settings button on the SprintPoker Dashboard, or Open Project Settings when you create a session. For each work item type, choose:

• The estimation field: the Azure DevOps field SprintPoker writes the final estimate to, such as Story Points or Effort.
• The card values: a preset scale (Fibonacci, Agile, T-shirt, Powers of 2 or Linear), or values of your own, which switch the preset to Custom.

Save values of your own as a named preset to use them again in the project. Presets are shared by everyone who can open the page. Reset to defaults works the settings out again from the project’s process; Save changes saves them.

General settings

In Project settings, under Extensions, open SprintPoker. Its two switches choose where SprintPoker shows in the project:

• SprintPoker Quick Estimation in item details view: the Quick Estimation panel in the work item form.
• SprintPoker in work item menu: Estimate in SprintPoker on work item menus.

Azure DevOps may need a Project Administrator to apply the change. If it does, SprintPoker says the setting was saved but the visibility may not update.

AI

SprintPoker for Azure DevOps has no setting today for an administrator to turn its AI features off for a whole organization or project. Each session’s creator chooses whether it has AI hints: Enable AI Features, when the session is created, is on by default, and the session’s moderators can change it later in Session Settings.
