An AI hint gives the team a starting point for the discussion. It never replaces the team’s vote: use it as a guide.
Turn AI hints on for a session
- When you create a session, leave Enable AI Features on. It is on by default.
- To have a hint appear by itself, also turn on Auto-trigger AI response on issue selection: in Poker a hint is asked for when a moderator starts estimating a work item, and in Async Poker when a moderator picks one.
- A moderator can change both later, in Session Settings.
Ask for a hint
During estimation, a moderator chooses Show Hint. Only moderators can ask for a hint; once there is one, everyone in the session can open it.
A hint shows the work item’s complexity level, a short summary, key considerations, a recommended estimate in story points or hours, and notes. It is kept with the session.
