Quick Estimation from a work item

Estimate one work item straight from its SprintPoker panel in Azure DevOps, with no session to set up.

Quick Estimation is for one or two work items, in a stand-up or a call, when a full session is too much. It works on its own, apart from any session.

  1. Open the work item in Azure DevOpsFind the SprintPoker panel in the work item form. A new work item needs saving first.
  2. Pick your estimateEach person who opens the work item picks a card. The cards are the ones set for the work item’s type.
  3. RevealChoose Reveal votes to see how everyone voted, as a chart. Hide votes hides them again.
  4. Set the estimateSet the final value to save it to the work item’s estimation field in Azure DevOps, or reset the votes to estimate again.
