Ready or Not answers one question for every issue before planning poker: is it ready to estimate and to commit to a sprint, and if not, what is missing?

Two signals

How Ready or Not grades an issue
SignalWhat it answersHow it is judged
Estimate-readyIs the issue clear enough to size?An AI grade of how clear the issue is
Sprint-readyAre the fields your team agreed on filled in?Your Definition of Ready: each chosen field is filled or not, with no AI

Run a scan

Open Ready or Not from SprintPoker, choose a sprint, the backlog or an advanced search, then Run readiness scan. Each issue gets a readiness ring, a suggested starting estimate and a one-line reason, with the least ready issues first.

A scan’s results.

Set your Definition of Ready

Choose Definition of Ready, pick the Jira fields that must be filled, set the ready and amber bands, and choose the acceptance criteria field AI Ready-Up writes to. Then Save Definition of Ready.

Refine an issue

  • Open a result to get, on request, questions to clarify, draft acceptance criteria, dependency risks or similar past issues. Copy them, or post the criteria to the issue as a comment.
  • Split proposes smaller pieces of a big issue. Edit them, then create them as real Jira issues: sub-tasks, linked issues or standalone issues.

AI Ready-Up

AI Ready-Up goes through the issues that are not ready and drafts what is missing, such as a clearer description or acceptance criteria. You review the list first, then it writes to Jira and scans again.

  • It only adds: it never removes or edits what is already there.
  • Each addition sits in an Added by AI panel inside the field.
  • It can add an ai-made-ready label to each issue it changes, and a summary comment.
  • It never invents a story point estimate or an assignee: it marks those as needing you.

Scans on each plan

On the free app each person can run 5 scans a month. On the paid app scans have no monthly limit.

Ready or Not uses AI for its clarity grade and its drafts. What is sent and to whom is on the trust page.
