Missing boards or items

Find boards and items that seem to have vanished: workspace mix-ups, archived boards, hidden filters and connect-time scope.

Symptoms

  • A board that used to be in your sidebar is gone.
  • A teammate can see a board that you can't (or the other way round).
  • Items are missing from a connected board, or counts differ from the source tool.
  • A project or board never appeared after connecting a tool.

Likely causes

  • You're looking in the wrong workspace — private mirrors live in your personal workspace, where only you can see them.
  • You're on the wrong board scope tab — the boards hub splits Native and Connected.
  • The board is behind a collapsed sidebar bucket, or in the Archived section of the boards hub.
  • A search, filter chip, saved view or grouping is hiding items.
  • The board wasn't selected at connect time, so it was never mirrored.
  • The item is a kind that's never mirrored (pull requests, merge requests, subitems), or was deleted in the source tool.
  • You haven't joined the workspace yet — the invitation may still be pending.

Fix it

  1. Check which workspace you're inThe workspace switcher groups Invitations, Personal and Team workspaces. A board mirrored with "Connect to my personal workspace" is private — teammates are never added to it. If a board seems duplicated or invisible to others, check which workspace each copy lives in. A pending invitation appears in the switcher with an Accept button; invitations expire after 14 days.
  2. Check both board scope tabsThe workspace's boards hub has Native and Connected tabs, each with a live count. Mirrored boards live under Connected.
  3. Expand the sidebar bucketsThe sidebar's Boards section is bucketed into Starred, Recent (at most 5 boards) and All boards — expand "Show more boards (n)". Note that stars on connected boards are stored per browser, so another device can show a different Starred list.
  4. Check the Archived sectionThe boards hub has a collapsible Archived section that loads when you first expand it.
  5. Clear filters and saved viewsIf the boards hub says "No boards match your filters", press Clear filters. On a board, clear the filter input and any quick filters, and check whether you arrived via a saved-view link that pre-filters the board. A narrow window also switches the board to the Table view automatically — widen it to get the columns back.
  6. Check your role and membershipYou must be a member of the workspace to see its boards, and the Reader and Guest roles see less than Members do. Ask a workspace Admin to check your membership and role under Settings → Members.
  7. Check what was selected at connect timeOnly boards ticked under "Choose boards to mirror" are mirrored. Press Refresh in the picker to look again for boards added since you connected, or mirror more from the connection's Boards tab. Then press Sync now — a full refresh also prunes items deleted in the source and pulls in new ones.

Items that are never mirrored

  • GitHub pull requests and GitLab merge requests — mirrors carry issues and project boards only.
  • monday.com subitems.
  • Azure DevOps work items in the state "Removed"; and a mirrored Azure DevOps board carries up to 400 work items, so very large projects are truncated.
  • Items deleted in the source tool are removed from the mirror — a Jira deletion removes the card promptly, and a full refresh prunes anything that has vanished.

Verify the fix

  • The board appears under the expected scope tab, in the expected workspace.
  • The item you were missing is visible with all filters cleared.
  • After Sync now, the mirrored board's item count is explainable — allowing for the item kinds listed above.
