Connect your first tool
Mirror boards from Jira, Azure DevOps, monday.com, GitHub or GitLab into Laya with two-way sync — no migration required.
Last updated
Connecting a tool brings your team's existing boards into Laya without moving anything. Your team keeps working where it always has; Laya mirrors the boards you choose and keeps both sides in step with two-way sync — a change in Laya lands in the source tool, and vice versa.
What connecting does
For each board you connect, Laya stores a durable, synced mirror of its work items — title, status, assignees, dates and other fields — and keeps it until you disconnect: if you later disconnect a board, Laya deletes its mirror of it. Comments stay in the source tool and are read live from the connected board's detail panel. See Disconnecting safely before you remove anything.
Laya connects to five providers:
- Jira — connection guide
- Azure DevOps — connection guide
- monday.com — connection guide
- GitHub — connection guide
- GitLab — connection guide
Where to connect
- Open your workspace's boards pageChoose Boards in the sidebar. The boards hub has two tabs: Native and Connected.
- Switch to the Connected tabIf nothing is connected yet you'll see "Bring your boards into Laya", with a connect button for each provider: Connect Jira, Connect Azure DevOps, Connect monday.com, Connect GitHub and Connect GitLab.
- Pick a provider and approve accessFollow the provider's sign-in and consent flow, then choose which boards to mirror. The per-provider guides linked above walk through each flow in detail.
After connecting
Mirrored boards appear under the Connected tab and in the sidebar's Connected section, marked with their provider's logo. Open one and work with it like any other board — changes flow back to the source tool, and changes made there appear in Laya.
You can also combine the boards you have connected into a single master board, and any board containing connected cards gains a Sync all boards menu action that refreshes every provider on the board at once.
