Share a board externally
Publish a live, read-only guest link to a Jira board for people outside Jira, choose what they see, and turn the link off, with or without laya.net.

On this page
You can share any board with people outside Jira as a live, read-only web page. Guests need no account and no Jira seat. It works on a plain install, with no laya.net account and no link.
Create a share link
- Open the share studioOn the board, choose Share externally. You see a live preview of the board exactly as guests will see it, next to the settings.
- Set the appearanceUnder Appearance, set the Board title for guests, the Progress summary and the Accent colour.
- Choose what guests seeUnder What guests see, choose the lanes (To do, In progress, Done, On hold), whether guests can open the Card detail panel, and, on a sprint board, the Sprint scope. Then hide any of Issue keys, Assignees, Work types, Priority, Estimates, Labels, Due dates and Subtask progress.
- PublishChoose Create share link. Nothing is published until you do. Then Copy link and send it, or Open it to check.
Sprint scope
On a board with sprints, Sprint scope decides which cards guests get: the active sprints, like the board; the backlog only; one sprint you pick; or Let guests pick, which shares the whole board and lets guests filter it. Cards outside the scope are never sent to guests.
Keep it current, or turn it off
- Changes to shared cards reach guests as they happen. After big changes, choose Update shared board to republish the whole board.
- Change settings later and choose Save changes.
- Turn Public link off to stop sharing: guests get a "not found" page. Turning it back on revives the same link.
- Uninstalling the app also takes its share links offline.
More with a linked laya.net workspace
Link a laya.net workspace and the same share link upgrades in place: nothing to recreate, and the people you sent it to keep using it. Linking adds:
- password-protected links;
- removing the "Powered by laya.net" badge;
- the full Board Studio theming on the share;
- a laya.net workspace around the work, with boards, docs, roadmaps and the wider team.
laya.net's sharing boards publicly explains the guest page itself.
Email support@laya.net and include what you expected, what happened, and a link to the affected board or item so we can help quickly.
