Sprints and the backlog
Plan sprints in Laya Board for Jira: the Backlog view and Sprint planner, moving issues between sprints, and starting, completing and deleting sprints.
Last updated
On a Jira board that runs sprints, the Backlog view (also Sprint planner in the Manage menu) shows each sprint as a section, with its dates and progress, and the backlog below. It reads and writes Jira's own sprints, so changes show in Jira straight away. laya.net's backlog, sprints and epics explains the same planner in depth.
What you can do
- Drag issues between sprints and the backlog.
- Create, start and complete sprints.
- Delete a sprint from its ••• menu. Deleting a sprint never deletes its issues: Jira moves them back to the backlog.
- Open an epic to see and manage everything inside it.
Boards open on the active sprint
Boards open on the active sprint. The sprint filter can show other sprints, or several at once, and a card you create while a sprint is selected goes into that sprint.
Sprints on boards from other tools
Once the site is linked to laya.net, connected Azure DevOps, GitHub and GitLab boards have a backlog view too, with their own iterations or milestones. monday.com has no sprints, so its Backlog tab stays off, with "Backlog is managed in monday.com".
Email support@laya.net and include what you expected, what happened, and a link to the affected board or item so we can help quickly.
