Export Jira issues
Export one Jira issue, a board, a backlog or any JQL search to PDF, Word, Markdown, HTML, Excel, CSV or JSON, or publish the issues to a Confluence page.

In Jira, open Apps, then Laya Export Studio, for the export dashboard: Dashboard, Search & Export Issues, Export a Ticket, Brand Kits, Activity, Insights and Settings. Or start from the ••• menu of an issue, a board or a backlog with Export with Laya Export Studio.
Search & Export Issues
- Find the issuesType JQL, with live checking and autocomplete, or, if AI assist is on, describe what you want under Describe it in plain English and choose Generate. See AI JQL help.
- Check themChoose Preview. Issues to export lists the first 25 matching issues.
- Pick a formatChoose a format tile and, for documents, a Brand kit (optional). Give the file a Document / file title.
- ExportChoose Export & download. For a document with more than 25 issues, first tick Run as a background job, then choose Export all in the background.
Formats

| Excel | A Summary sheet with a row per issue (when there are two or more), and a detail tab for each of the first 40 issues, with sub-tasks, links and comments. |

| JSON | Structured data for each issue: fields, description, comments, sub-tasks, links and worklogs. |
| Confluence | Choose a Confluence space, then Create Confluence page: a new page made from up to 100 issues, created as you. |
Columns are set by the app: you cannot pick which fields go in. Custom fields are limited to a safe set, such as sprint and epic.

Export one issue
From an issue's ••• menu, Export with Laya Export Studio opens that issue, with Preview, the formats, a brand kit and Export & download. In the dashboard, Export a Ticket finds issues by key or text, or with the quick filters Active sprint, Assigned to me, Recently updated and Reported by me, and you can pick several.
Boards and backlogs
From a board or a backlog, the search is filled in for you: the active sprint on a board with sprints, otherwise the project. Change it before you export if you need to.
Activity and Insights
- Activity lists your recent exports, up to the last 50, with Reuse this query, Copy query, Preview, Download (which runs the export again) and Remove. Jira admins see everyone's.
- Insights shows exports by month and by format.
