Create and assign actions

Add an action straight into the actions column, or create one from a card so it stays linked to the feedback behind it. Assign each action to a person in the retro.

Edit, close and push to Jira

Open an action’s menu to Edit Action, Close Action (or Reopen Action), Create Jira issue or, for moderators, Delete Action. A Jira issue puts the action into your team’s normal workflow.

Action quality score

Click Score on an action to grade it from 0 to 100 (A to F) against six checks: has an owner, has a due date, clear outcome, actionable, right-sized and measurable. SprintRetro suggests a clearer wording; click Apply rewrite to use it and Re-score after you edit. Scoring only runs when you click. For how the AI handles your data, see SprintRetro trust.

Carry actions forward

Open actions do not have to be lost when a sprint ends. Click Carry forward, choose the retro to carry them into, tick the actions and click Carry forward again.

The action dashboard

Action Follow-Through lists open and closed actions from every board and retro, with filters by status and assignee. Its Analytics tab shows open and closed counts, the completion rate, the median and average time to close, open action ageing and actions closed over time.
