Invite your team

Send bulk email invitations to a Team workspace, choose the role invitees get, and understand how teammates join via Atlassian or Azure DevOps.

On this page

Laya is at its best when your whole team is in the workspace. Invitations are sent by email, in bulk if you like, and each invitee chooses how to sign in — the invitation is tied to their email address, not to a sign-in method.

Send invitations

  1. Open Settings → MembersGo to your workspace's Settings, open the Members tab and select Invite people.
  2. Paste email addressesAdd as many addresses as you need, separated by commas, spaces, or new lines.
  3. Pick a RoleChoose Member, Admin or Guest for the whole batch. See Roles and permissions for what each role can do.
  4. SendSelect Send invite (or Send N invites for a batch). Each successful invitation also offers Copy link, so you can hand the link to someone directly — for example over chat.

What invitees experience

  • Opening the invite link lands on an acceptance page. Signed-out visitors are sent through sign-in (or account creation) first and returned automatically; on success the page shows "You're in." with an Open the workspace button.
  • Invitations also appear inside Laya: if the invitee already has an account (or creates one with the invited email), the invitation shows in the sidebar's workspace switcher under Invitations with an inline Accept button — so an invite still works even if the email never arrives.
  • Invitations expire after 14 days. Until then, they are listed in the Pending invitations card on the Members tab, where an Owner or Admin can Revoke them.

When inviting external collaborators, the Guest role is designed for them. The product describes it as: "Guests are external collaborators — they can view boards, comment, and update issues they're given, but can't create boards or change workspace settings."

Joining through Atlassian or Azure DevOps

The sign-up page offers "Join your team's workspace" with Atlassian and Azure DevOps buttons. When a teammate signs in this way and your workspace is bound to the same site, they can land directly in the shared workspace without a separate email invite.
