About Laya
What is Laya?
Laya is a connected work-management platform: one board for every tool your teams already use. You can build native Kanban and Scrum boards in Laya itself, mirror boards from tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, monday.com, GitHub and GitLab, and combine everything in a single master board. Start with What is Laya?.
Who is Laya for?
Individuals and teams alike. Every account automatically gets a private Personal workspace, and you can create Team workspaces to plan together, invite people and connect the tools your team already uses. See Workspaces explained.
Do I have to connect another tool to use Laya?
No. Native boards, docs, roadmaps, sprints and the rest of the workspace work entirely on their own — connecting a tool is optional. If you do want to bring existing work in, start from the Integrations overview.
Laya and your existing tools
Does Laya replace Jira, Azure DevOps or my other tools?
No — Laya works alongside them. A connected board is a live, two-way synced mirror of a board in the other tool: a change made in Laya lands there, and a change made there lands in Laya. Your team keeps working wherever they prefer. See Native vs Connected vs both.
Is my data moved out of my other tools?
No. Nothing is migrated or removed from the source tool. Laya keeps a durable, synced copy of each item on the boards you choose — fields such as title, status, assignees and dates — and deletes that mirror if you disconnect the board. Comments stay in the source tool and are read live when you open an item. Mirror vs import explains the model.
Which platforms can I connect?
Jira, Azure DevOps, monday.com, GitHub and GitLab. Each provider has its own setup guide — start from the Integrations overview.
Pricing and access
How much does Laya cost?
Laya is free while it is in early access. There is no cap on members, boards or storage, no payment details are held, and AI features have a generous daily fair-use allowance. Paid options are planned for after early access, with notice before anything takes effect — no dates are announced.
What does "The AI usage limit for this account has been reached" mean?
AI features share a daily fair-use allowance. When it runs out, AI actions show "The AI usage limit for this account has been reached. Try again later." — nothing is broken. The allowance covers a 24-hour window, so wait and try again later.
Where can I see my plan?
Open Settings → General in your workspace. The Plan card shows your current plan with an "Early access" pill, and the Seats card on the Members tab shows "Seat limit: Unlimited during early access". See Workspace settings.
How do I get help?
Start with Troubleshooting: start here. If that does not solve it, email support@laya.net and we will pick it up from there.
Notifications
Why didn't I get an email notification?
Email notifications are sent as batched digests — Hourly digest or Daily digest — rather than instantly, so a delay is normal. Check the Frequency column on your Notifications page (account menu → Notifications) to see the cadence for each event type, and check your spam folder if digests never arrive. See Notifications & email.
Email support@laya.net — include what you expected, what happened, and a link to the affected board or item so we can help quickly.
