Short answers on how boards and workspaces fit together. For the foundations, see Board anatomy and Workspaces explained.
Boards
What is the difference between a native, connected and master board?
A native board lives entirely in Laya. A connected board is a live mirror of a board in a tool you have connected, listed under your workspace's "Connected" tab. A master board is a native Laya board that pulls work from several sources — native and connected — into one unified view, with two-way sync intact. See Native vs Connected vs both and Master boards.
Which views does a board have?
Every board offers Board, Table, Calendar and Timeline views, with Backlog and Epics in the same strip. On a narrow screen the board switches to the Table view automatically. See Views, filters and grouping.
Does Laya support sprints and epics?
Yes. Sprint planning lives on the board's Backlog page (tabs "Sprints & backlog", "Submissions" and "Archived sprints"), with dedicated Sprints and Epics pages alongside. See Backlog, sprints and epics.
Can I share a board with someone who does not use Laya?
Yes. A public share link shows a read-only view of a board, doc or roadmap to anyone with the link — no account needed. See Sharing boards publicly.
What does archiving a board do?
Archiving takes a board out of the active list without deleting it. Archived boards sit in a collapsible Archived section at the bottom of the boards hub. The workspace owner controls which roles may archive via Settings → Permissions ("Archive boards").
Workspaces
What is the difference between a Personal and a Team workspace?
A Personal workspace is private — only you can access it, and invites are disabled. A Team workspace is shared and invitable. The kind is set when the workspace is created and cannot be changed afterwards. See Workspaces explained.
Can I have more than one workspace?
Yes. Every account starts with a Personal workspace, and you can add more with the "Create a workspace" action at the bottom of the workspace switcher. See Create and switch workspaces.
How do I invite people?
Owners and Admins invite from Settings → Members → Invite people — paste addresses separated by commas, spaces or new lines and pick a role. Invitations expire after 14 days and also appear in the invitee's workspace switcher with an Accept button. See Invite your team.
What roles exist?
Owner, Admin, Member, Reader and Guest. Ownership is transferred rather than assigned from the role dropdown, and nobody can grant a role higher than their own. See Roles and permissions.
